Abiotic: The Fox Otter needs air, fresh water to drink, and a den for shelter. The Fox Otter is a social animal that lives in a family group. They do this to share in food gathering (occasionally )and in rearing of the young. They utilize the environment for shelter. (Commensalism, the Fox Otter gains, but the trees and plants gain nothing) The Fox Otter doesn't have any other specific relationships with other species.
Climate
The Vancouver Fox Otter is only found near one place-Vancouver, Canada. Vancouver is the mildest (Ave. 55 degrees F.) place in Canada, since it is protected from the harsh northern winds by mountains. The water next to it is warmed by the Japan Current, which also leads to a mild climate. There is little snow, but lots of fog. Vancouver has dark, early sunsets, and late sunrises. To be specific, it lives in Stanley Park. Stanley Park is a 1000 acre park in the middle of Vancouver, and while it has lots of human activities, there is also lots of wildlife. There are coastal beaches, a lake, and tons of forested areas. It is large enough to sustain a healthy population of animals, plants, and of course, Fox Otters.
Group The Fox Otter lives in small packs of around 10-15 animals. They rely on each other for two things: breeding and food gathering. The pack should not exceed these limits, because then prey would be scarce, leading to the deaths of the pack. If they go under these limits, then there will not be enough hunters to feed the pups(baby Fox Otters), and the mothers.
